The most racist thing i have ever done

I've done a lot of racist shit. The most racist thing I've ever done, the act that had the most effect was dating a white woman. Loving a white woman was the most harmful thing that I have ever done to my people. In the eyes of a lot of people who I love and respect it was the most obvious act of self hatred that I could have committed.
I never thought of it that way. I didn't
The second most racist thing, was to have two kids by two different women and not marry either one of them, thereby contributing to the statistics of unwed mothers and long distance/absentee black fathers.
I never planned any of this, I never planned on being a statistic, but I guess no one ever maps the negatives out, never really anticipates making bad decisions that are going to affect the whole rest of their lives. It is all I know how to do now, to play catch up.

Let's start the dialogue....

We started this blog because a bunch of us get together behind closed doors and have these conversations. Rarely ever do we have them outside of our comfortable social groups.
We thought this could be a place where we could have a sort of open dialogue about Race, Class and Gender. Maybe if we can talk to one another honestly about these issues, we can begin to learn from one another and move on as a community
Posters are encouraged to be honest, frank and forthright in their posts. Use language as you see fit. The posts will be monitored, but only because "trolling" or pissing people off, just for the sake of being an incendiary asshole is not okay. We want to promote dialogue, not on online race baiting fest.
That goes all ways, if you have something thoughtful to say, share it, even if you think some people might be offended. Say it anyway. All we ask is that you don't post with intentional malice.
